In short order, they ditched erstwhile producer Ulrich Wild for Josh Abraham, who had worked with more mainstream bands like Staind and Velvet Revolver, and lost both drummer Ken Jay and guitarist Koichi Fukuda. But (thanks in part to the prodigious talents of A Perfect Circle drummer Josh Freese) out of all that turmoil came another Top 20 record, albeit one that challenged dedicated devotees of their former industrial\/nu metal sound even as it found new audiences.
